Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma)
Diploma in Pharmacy covers fundamental Pharmacy Education including the application of chemistry in the pharma industry, theoretical & practical concepts of biochemistry, pharmacology and toxicology. The course enables the students to study about different chemical salts, their application and uses in medicine.
Diploma in Pharmacy [D.Pharm.] course provides registered pharmacy qualification for practicing pharmacy profession under the Pharmacy Act. Many graduates pursue careers in a hospital pharmacy or community pharmacy where they are directly involved in patient care working in partnership with physicians. Pharmacists are the key person to dispense the medication to the patient which requires special registration status from government of India.
Eligibility
Age No Limit
Minimum eligibility qualification is 10+2 level of education in science stream, from a recognized educational board, for admission into the Diploma in Pharmacy [D.Pharm.] course in any college. A minimum aggregate score of 35% (Passing marks) at the 10+2 level is also necessary. The cut-off percentage of marks differs as per the University/College.
- Candidate Should be a citizen of India.
- Candidate must have passed or senior with at least 50% marks including English.
- The must be passed/Appearing with mathematics as a compulsory subject.
- The students are generally admitted on the basis of personal interview and written examination conducted by various institutes/universities.
- Some institutes/universities admit student on merit basis.
- The merit is prepared on the basis of candidate’s performance in the qualifying examination (12th).
